Native American Forum (BSS 162))

The Native Forum, was designed to provide a cultural center for the use of Native American students, faculty & staff. In addition, it was to be utilized as a community facility specifically for HSU Native American serving departments: Native American Studies, the Center for Indian Community Development, the Indian Natural Resources Science & Engineering Program, and the Indian Tribal & Educational Personnel Program.

Humboldt State University is located within the ancestral territory of the Wiyot Tribe. We ask that all users of the Native American Forum respectfully acknowledge the traditional territory in which the building is located and recognize the connection of the place by respectfully reflecting on and incorporating Native American ideology, tribal ecological knowledge, tribal placed based models, and related topics pertaining to historical and current indigenous issues into the presentations that are hosted in this room.
